This idea promotes the features of the Lion and the Volta workforce. Just like the lion is strong, courageous, and bears leadership qualities, Voltas employees are committed and passionate about their work to advance the company. An annual brochure is an essential tool for outlining the goals of the business.
The Task:
The challenge was to adapt the design and content of the annual report brochure to match the changes that occur within the company over the year. So, I decided to create a unique internal report brochure that will reflect the company’s objectives and values. Therefore, I brought to life an internal culture initiative by creating stand-out visual cues that supported positive copy that tells the story about the annual growth of the company. Creating a design style that would effectively and rapidly convey their crucial message.
My approach:
The Research:
According to the brief, the company’s annual brochure theme was based on leadership so they wanted to show their employees as fierce and bold. Therefore, we did detailed research on what is the real purpose of this annual brochure. I jotted points and started creating a strategy for designing the brochure.
Strategy:
The Lion was the core of the design as the Lion reflects the qualities of leadership and helps to convey the message that the company stands out as an industry leader. We created new designs and layouts that can match the logo and brand colours. Our designs have evolved along with Voltas evolution over the years. As a unique design with A4 size and a lot of pages, the content needs to be crisp and relevant. With the raw content provided by the client, we crafted stories around the latest news, announcements, and meetings at Voltas TBEM.
The annual brochure covers everything from competitions happening within the company to topical articles around days like strategy, Workforce, operations, and more.
Outcome:
Our content style and designs resulted in the creation of a top-notch, highly engaged internal magazine and a long-standing client relationship with Voltas. The future-focused company’s theme was leadership. With the help of chosen colours and design components, we produced a unique look and feel.
On subjects like Year Gone By, Innovation, Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Design Language, Connected People, etc. Each layout used appealing images that highlighted key data and figures for easy reading. The annual report brochure was appreciated by the client and the investor community.
